During these uncertain times, we want to share some of the ways we are staying healthy when we are at home.
Zinc is an essential mineral that metabolizes nutrients, supports your immune health and strengthens your body tissues. In addition to taking zinc supplements, we love cooking with it too! Here are 5 of the best foods with zinc:
- Legumes - such as chickpeas and lentils
- Seeds - such as flaxseeds, hemp seeds and pumpkin seeds
- Nuts - such as almonds, cashews and pecans
- Whole grains - such as oats, rice and quinoa
- Dark Chocolate - one 70-85% dark chocolate bar contains almost 1/3 your recommended daily intake!
